More and more bicycles

Last year I wrote about Stabalizing The Stable. It was a cleanse of sorts. Taking all of the bicycles and parts I had amassed over the years and deciding what I really needed, and what I could do with out. It felt good to pass on parts to other people who actually used them. I sold a few bikes, made some cash, but more importantly I freed up space in my apartment. How things change in a year. I think sub conciously I am getting back at myself for purging last year, because looking at the situation now, it seems far worse than last year.
Since last years post I have aquired a Nishiki touring bike, Kona mountain bike, Marin mountain bike, 1948 CCM cruiser, and later today a vintage Raleigh. This is on top of a Hampton cruiser, Norco fixed gear, Surly Karate Monkey, the "twenty" folder and a mass of parts and accessories. All this and I live in an apartment in student housing!!!!
I cannot lay all the blame on myself however, at least two of the bicycles are solely used by my girlfriend. It is a passion though. There are times when I just cannot say no, or when the bike may otherwise be thrown away. This was the case with the CCM cruiser. Seriously, someone was about to throw it away. So I feel like it may be possible to justify it to myself if I look at it as doing good for bicycles, I am like a Saint, saving bicycles that have otherwise been let down by society.
