Dakine Patches Jersey

July 22, 2009

This jersey has been worn and worn and worn, and I love it. The best thing about it is that Dakine brings it's years of style into a very funtional jersey. It feels and looks good both on the bike. An easy style that when riding keeps you nice and cool, doing a good job disapating moisture on the trail so when you hit the pub for an after ride beer you do not stink. Made of the moisture wicking birds eye polyester the Patches jersey does what it claims, but as with all polyester I find that it can easily hold that sweat smell after one use and needs to be washed after every ride for sure, for some reason the body odor lingers with the polyester.

For those that have eyewear on the trail they integrate a nice chamois on the left interior. A great way to clear the sweat off your lenses with out scratching them up. Since I wear glasses I find that this is a nice bonus. The under arms feature a larger mesh panel for added breath ablility and the whole jersey has AEGIS Microbe Shield anti-bacterial fabric treatment. In the end I am not sure if I found the fabric treatment had any realy affect, but it couldn't have hurt.

This might have been the first 3/4 length sleeve jersey I have had, or at least the first that I really enjoyed wearing. It ended up being my go to jersey all summer. Now after months of wear I have to say I am hooked on Dakine jerseys. The Patches does the trick.
