Harlot Wear Murray Shorts

June 17, 2009

I have been hitting the mountain bike trails more and more this year, so in turn, I need some clothing to wear. I got a few pairs of shorts from Harlot, the first being the Murray. Not sure who Murray is, but based on these shorts I would say he likes to get out there and ride. Heck these shorts have so much stretch you could even do some yoga in them.

The Harlot Murray shorts are available in one colour, black. So black goes with everything, but combining it with stretch shell material has created a short that tends to get dirty easily. Now I know you are probably thinking, who cares they are going to get dirty any ways, and well you are right, but if you sit on a concrete step all dust and dirt seem to transfer immediately to these shorts.

Fit wise they are baggy, which is a good thing. They may not be the most flattering thing to see me in, especially from behind but they prove themselves on the trail. The gusseted crotch is super stretchy and makes it feel like you have nothing restricting you from jumping on and off the bike. The waist has a great velcro tab for tightening them up. This is no little tab either. This tab was made to hold. The two front pockets are nice and deep and big enough to actually get stuff into them.

After hours of riding on the trails in these they seem like the perfect trail short. These well breathing shorts always leave me cool after a long ride. These understated shorts are my go to shorts for the bike now. As Harlot starts to produce more mens clothing I am sure this will remain a great short in their line up. I love them.
